CJ Dion - Program Director
CJ Dion is a Fresno native and PROUD graduate of California State University, Fresno. GO Dogs! CJ graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Theatre Arts emphasis in and Acting and a minor in English. CJ has performed with Good Company Players and Center Stage Productions locally, having been a part of such shows as Chicago, South Pacific, I Hate Hamlet and Forum. CJ has also performed professionally with various theatre companies and been in The Full Monty (Nominated for a Shelly Award), The Last Five Years, Rocky Horror Show, Painting the Wind, Blue Balls (NY Fringe Festival Finalist), Bye Bye Birdie and Beauty and the Beast. As a director, he has worked with youth programs in New York City and East Bay Area California as well as Clovis West High School. He is thrilled to be joining the CMT family.
Kyra Smith - Stage Manager
Kyra Smith is a 2nd year student at Fresno City College where she is studying Theatre Arts and Technical Theatre. She has been both a Stage Manager and an Assistant Stage Manager for CMT. She also has Stage managed for Clovis East High School and Fresno City College. Kyra is also an improv coach at Clovis East High School where she graduated from. She is so excited to teach the kids all about design from the posters to the sets and costumes.
Diego Sosa - Assistant Stage Manager
Diego is going to be a sophomore at Roosevelt School of the Arts. He has performed in shows such as Beauty and the Beast Jr, Once On This Island, The Lion King Jr, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, & 13 the Musical with CMT and made his RSA debut in Shrek the Musical. He also assistant stage managed the recent Jame & the Giant Peach. He is excited to be working with the kids this summer in Extended Day.
Abbie Kincade - Choreographer/Assistant Director
Abbie has been involved with CMT for the last 3 years, starting with Annie, but theatre overall for the last 10 years. She has choreographed two musicals, including CMT’s James and the Giant Peach. She’s so excited to be getting more involved with CMT and can’t wait to see what the company creates! She wants you to know that CMT is a very warm, loving, and welcoming theatre company that can’t wait to improve talented kids!
Sofia James - Assistant Stage Manager
Sofia James has participated in CMT, both on and off stage, for nearly three years. She first discovered her love for musical theatre at CMT in the production, High School Musical, and continued to do theatre at CMT and at her high school. Sofia would like you to strongly consider supporting CMT, whether it be participating in shows, volunteering, or even seeing one of the shows, because CMT is a program like no other that shapes people into the best version of themselves! Currently, she is apart of the Assistant Stage Management team for Little Mermaid Jr. and she cannot wait for everyone to come and see this amazing show!
Maddie Padilla - Graphics
Maddie Padilla has been with CMT for several years and has worked in numerous positions, including Extended Day Supervisor, props, stage management and more! She has extensive experience with art and graphic design, and while she has moved out of the area, she continued to provide CMT with creative and inspiring graphic design. You can find Maddie’s work on CMT’s posters, bookmarks, flyers, and on the beautiful storefront of the CMT rehearsal space at the Sierra Vista Mall.
Jennifer Ruiz - Costume Manager
Jennifer Ruiz studied costume design at Cal State Fullerton and has worked throughout Southern California in all aspects of costuming for the past 5 years before returning to Fresno. If she hasn’t been the costume designer she has built the costumes.
Erin Gilbert - ASM/Extended Day Staff
Erin has been a part of CMT for 9 years. Over the years, she has performed in 7 CMT shows, worked backstage and assisted with the extended day program. Erin loves working with children and is excited to be a part of the extended day program again this year.
Jacob Cozzi - Stage Manager
Jacob has been actively involved with the theatre community in both Clovis and Fresno for the past 4 years. In that time, he has taken part in over 25 productions across Good Company Players, the Junior Company, CenterStage, and CMT. He has had the privilege of working from all different angles of a production: acting, crewing, stage managing, and even directing! Some of his credits include Meet Me In St. Louis(John Shephard), My Fair Lady, Peter and the Starcatcher(Captain Scott), Breaking Up Is Hard To Do, Mamma Mia!, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat(Asher), Seven Brides for Seven Brothers(Zeke), Footloose (Willard), James and the Giant Peach, and Freaky Friday(Mike). Jacob just graduated from Buchanan High School, and will be attending Fresno Pacific University in the fall on an academic scholarship, majoring in history. When not in school or rehearsal, you’ll find him reorganizing his room and adding to his collections of pins and rubber ducks. Although he is still a bit new to CMT, he is looking forward to becoming a part of the family!
Joshua Bravo - Vocal Director
Joshua Bravo is a music student at Fresno City College. He has been involved in many CMT productions and is excited to get to work with the students on their music. With a total of 10 years actively pursuing music, Joshua has been in several choral groups. Touring as far as Europe, and representing California in an All-National Choral ensemble (NAfME). He is a member of an alternative band, The National Debt, with a U.S. tour planned for summer 2019.
Bridget Matney - Hair & Makeup
Bridget Matney is a newer member to CMT. She has fulfilled the positions of assistant stage managing, set crew is now involved with hair and makeup backstage with CMT. She is very excited to keep exploring the world of theater and hopes to continue to learn, grow and improve in all aspects of theater.
